CISDI RUICYCLE robot draws attention

Date:2024/2/7 Source: CISDI

CISDI released its first RUICYCLE product - a scrap-cutting robot - at China’s national scraps conference 2023 in Xiamen, Fujian Province.

The annual conference aims to build a community of like-minded organisations intent on developing a productive future for the scrap industry and welcomes new thinking and innovative methodology.

A forum was held by CISDI to explain the robot’s characteristics and advantages. It drew huge interest from external experts and sector partners alike and fuelled discussion on longstanding complications experienced in the scrap sector.

Attendees also gained a deeper understanding of CISDI’s total scrap solutions, smart equipment and products.

The RUICYCLE robot

The CISDI RUICYCLE product series has been developed to lead the smart development of China’s scrap industry.

They enable smart operations throughout scrap processing - from quality inspection and classification to unloading and loading, processing and treatment and proportioning.

The robot is set to be a profitable, state-of-the-art product for the sector.

It applies multi-sensor integrated recognition to achieve an accurate assessment of scrap dimension and location. It also performs route planning and executes tasks by means of multi-coordinate axis linkage, collision detection and high-precision control.

It can automatically adjust flames, has a high standard of dust collection and achieves numerous environmental benefits. Its operation is safe and reliable.

The robot consists of scrap recognition, route planning and control and flame cutting control systems.

Scraps from coil, slab and heavy plate genres can be cut.

Scrap’s category and dimension is recognised and its cutting route is automatically planned by a multi-functional algorithm. The robot is guided to a designated position along the defined cutting route.

CISDI’s total scrap solutions

Years of study into new scrap processes, equipment and smart products have resulted in CISDI’s development of total solutions which eradicate long-standing problems experienced during scrap’s unloading and transportation, storage, proportioning and management.

These procedures can now be automated, which is helping to create smart scrap plants capable of highly-efficient, cost-effective recycling of scrap resources and eco-friendly processing and distribution.

CISDI’s patented smart scrap plant is achieving an overall cost reduction of at least 1 per cent per tonne of scrap.

A series of RUICYCLE tech and products have been developed for smart inspection and classification, smart cutting, grabbing, handling and inventory checking.

Created in response to the current demands and trends experienced in construction, operations, business management, efficiency and intelligent manufacturing, they are deservedly winning industry recognition.
