CISDI’s ‘brain’ creates super-centralised production for Masteel

A CISDI-built ‘Super Brain’ for pan-ironmaking production is now operating in China.

Baowu Masteel’s intelligent, centralised control centre is the largest and most advanced in China’s steel sector and has been built by CISDI to an EPC mode.

It will implement centralised control of six blast furnaces, six sintering machines, four coke ovens, one traveling grate machine and one stockyard.

Together, these procedures will produce 16 million tonnes of hot metal a year.

Over a hundred smart APPs and hundreds of automatic spreadsheets, developed by CISDI, collect 100,000 points of data and interface with over 2,000 onsite monitor screens - acting as a ‘Super Brain’ for Masteel’s pan-ironmaking production areas.

Manpower is now required at only 120 duty posts across all pan-ironmaking areas.

The massive data are deeply mined and processed to support decision-making for management refinements, stabler production, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.

The Masteel project marks the first successful application of dozens of CISDI’s intelligent developments for transforming ironmaking production, including:

integrated logistics tracking system

Intelligent fire control system

Distribution link system

Belt conveyor intelligent petrol check system

Stockyard visualisation system

Tuyere intelligent diagnosis system

Furnace wall’s safe, dynamic replay system.
