Pan-ironmaking at Zenith Nantong Steel is set to be transformed with a CISDI-built intelligence centre.

CISDigital, an innovative, powerful platform which integrates conventional steel engineering and manufacturing with the industrial internet, will transform production and management at the steelworks in China’s Jiangsu Province.

The intelligence centre will refine production, make smart decisions, operate with intrinsic safety and improve labour productivity and cost performance.

Centralised control of the stockyard, sintering, coking and blast furnace ironmaking plants will be achieved.

At the launch meeting staged at Zenith, its chairman, Mr Caiping Dong, called for an all-out commitment to the creation of what will become a world-class intelligence centre.

He added: “The pan-ironmaking intelligence centre marks a solid step towards building an intelligent steelworks at Nantong. We attach great importance to top-level design.”

Mr Hang Zou, CISDI Group’s director and vice president, commented: “Headed by our chairman Xuewen Xiao, CISDI is leading important developments at this strategically-important steelworks.

“CISDigital will enable Nantong Steel to achieve high-quality production and intelligent decision-making.

“Our specialist teams and resources are heavily invested in Nantong projects and our continual advancements in intelligence, management and workmanship will be brought to the project.”
