A breakdown mill manufactured by CISDI Equipment Co has been accepted by the customer at its category-A inspection.

The inspection was carried out at the equipment company’s base in China’s Jiangjin District of Chongqing and was jointly witnessed by supplier and Sanming Steel.

The mill is a critical component for a heavy and medium bar rolling line at Sanming’s base in China’s Fujian Province.

All checklist items met contractual requirements for mill and tilting manipulator precision and dimension and cold tests.

A Sanming representative initially checked the project’s internal inspection, material, flaw detection and testing reports and technical documents.

Appearance checks showed there were no collision or scratch deformities or incomplete, porous or slag-included welds.

Measurements on outline and installation dimensions and assembly precisions complied with drawing requirements.

Cold tests at the workshop, which lasted for over 40 minutes, showed stable reciprocal movements in whole travel stroke at the mill’s axial locking and axial tuning, roll balancing frame and roll change shifting devices.

The running state of the tilter and manipulator head was normal in their working stroke, without any impact or noise. Testing of the gear reducer was fulfilled; oil temperature was controlled to within 25 deg. C and there was good lubrication.

The customer accepted CISDI’s manufacture as high standard.
