Equipment Manufacturing: Xinggang Tech places order for four CISDI rolling line supplies

Xingtai Steel’s new operation, Xinggang Tech, based in China’s Hebei Province, is creating China’s largest eco-friendly wire-rod deep processing park.

The company will pursue a higher standard of special steels wire-rod production, by increasing environmental protection, product quality and intelligent manufacturing levels. 

It will support Xingtai Steel’s two million tonne annual production capacity. 

Chongqing-based CISDI Equipment Co has been contracted to supply the organisation’s special steels high-speed wire-rod rolling lines 1 and 2, a new bar-in-coil rolling line and rebuild breakdown mills 1 and 2. 

Wire-rod line 1 will produce 700,000 tonnes a year. Its main products - cold heading, spring, chrome-molybdenum and bearing steels - will have a diameter range of 5.5 to 25mm. 

Wire-rod line 2 will produce spring, chrome-molybdenum, bearing and pre-stressed steels, ranging from 5.5 to 20mm in diameter, with an annual output of 750,000 tonnes.

The BIC line will achieve an annual output of 800,000 tonnes of cold heading, bearing, spring and alloy structural steels in a diameter range of 16 to 52mm.
