Binxin Steel gets smarter with phase I intelligent manufacturing

Date:2023/3/24 Source: CISDI

A Phase I intelligent manufacturing project was pilot-run at Binxin Steel in China’s Jiangsu Province last December.

Further optimisation continued in the first quarter of 2023.

The entire project will implement integrated, smart controls on all procedures - from energy to ironmaking, upstream and downstream.

CISDI provided the total solutions and is teaming up with Binxin to fully explore data values and utilise the project as a global benchmark of process sectoral intelligent manufacturing.

Phase I took 14 months to build and encompasses 16 plants and sections. In total, 11 systems have been integrated, around 60 main scenarios have been created and four targets have been hit - centralised production control, smart APPs, data governance and team empowerment.

Full-process digitalisation enables connection and promotion between Binxin’s internal control and its external operations.
