Shenglong Metallurgical Co’s 2,250mm hot rolling line has three state-of-the-art reheating furnaces - which are the largest of their kind in China.

Each 62-metre long furnace features a walking beam and will achieve an hourly output of 405 tonnes. The maximum output is 500 tonnes.

CISDI was the EPC-based service provider.

Furnaces 1 and 3 went operational this year and are performing stably and reliably.

Furnace 2 has now been dried in readiness for hot commissioning.

To aid Shenglong Metallurgical’s pursuit of energy conservation, cost savings and increased reliability, CISDI applied a number of its unique technologies to bring about a dynamic and optimal ratio of air to fuel, digital impulse combustion control, smart combustion, fume stepped heat recovery and energy-saving hydraulic energy recovery. Ultra-low NOx burners have also been incorporated.
