SFRE head to Bangladesh to build a high-speed
mill for Jalalabad Metal
CISDI’s SFRE team is to build a high-speed cold-rolling
mill in Bangladesh for Jalalabad Metal.
CISDI has been contracted on an EPC basis for the
creation of the 1,380mm 6-hi reversible mill, which will feature an AC
frequency conversion drive system and will be able to roll to a maximum speed
of 1,200m/min.
The higher speed and intermediate roll change unit will
be used for creating a higher mill availability and a higher metal yield.
Jalalabad Metal is made up of multiple subsidiaries and
specialises in the fabrication of steel structures, steel plate and colour
coating lines.
In addition to the cold-rolling mill, Jalalabad is
investing in a new colour coating line, a push-pull pickling mill, galvanising
line and re-coiling line.
CISDI’s important equipment manufacturing base is
MCC-SFRE Heavy Industry Equipment in Xi’an, in the Shaanxi Province.
It houses over 2,000 sets of production equipment for
metal smelting, rough casting and forging, rivet welding, components heat
treatment and machining and can supply all the mechanical equipment for the
steel production line.
