Sections rolling mill and cooling bed are hot tested at Shiheng Special Steel

CISDI has enabled hot testing of its sections rolling mill and cooling bed at Shiheng Special Steel in Shandong Province’s Tai’an city.
The mill and cooling bed are at a special building sections rolling line. CISDI is supplying this as part of an order for an entire high-strength sections rolling line.
The line holds 18 stands of roughing and finishing mills which feature CISDI’s standard products 580 and 480. Multiple sector firsts have been achieved during its creation, including:
The flying shear’s combined outlet guide and swing arm have enabled head and tail crops to fall from sections cutting to scrap box in a shorter and therefore faster manner.
The cooling bed’s apron plates are now pneumatically actuated, reducing energy consumption and increasing efficiency.
CISDI successfully supplied Shiheng with two bar rolling lines in 2020 and a wire-rod rolling line in 2021. The 2025 supply further evidenced the company’s trust in CISDI’s products and services.
The CISDI team is providing onsite technical assistance to ensure the line’s entire start-up and stable operation.
